Special vehicle programme grows to 80 vans

Ready to Run, the special vehicle programme by Citroen, has been expanded for 2009.

The Ready to Run range now comprises more than 80 specially converted Citroen light commercial vehicles.

These include versions of Citroen’s Nemo, Berlingo First, new Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay models.

New for 2009 are Somers chiller conversions for the Citroen Nemo and chiller and freezer conversions for new Citroen Berlingo, as well as chiller and freezer box-bodies on Relay chassis-cabs.

In addition, there are now Supertrucks glass-carrying conversions of the Berlingo. Ready to Run 2009 also includes dual fuel (petrol/LPG) conversions of Nemo, Berlingo First and new Berlingo.

And, for the first time in the UK, Citroen’s Ready to Run programme includes Somers temperature-controlled conversions of dual-fuel vans.


Advanced Vehicle Builders’s Relay: 12, 15 and 17 seat minibuses and wheelchair accessible minibuses with bonded flush-fit direct glazing. Priced from £15,795.

Buckstone Motor Bodies Relay Luton vans: based on Relay 35 L3 long wheelbase and L4 extra long wheelbase chassis cabs. These have interior load volumes of up to 20cu m and load deck lengths of up to 4.0m, and payload capability of up to 1,180kg. Prices start at £15,395.

Ingimex Relay dropside trucks: as standard, this body has a ladder frame front bulkhead with galvanised wire mesh cab protection; heavy-duty aluminium dropsides with recessed fasteners; and a non-slip phenol resin bonded one-piece ply floor with retractable load tie-down points. From £12,265.

KFS Relay car transporters: Ready to Run is the only ready-bodied specialist vehicle programme to include a car transporter body. The all-alloy body provides has up to 1,600kg payload capacity, the highest available in class. From £17,365.

Nicholson McLaren Engineering Dual Fuel Nemo, Berlingo First, and new Berlingo conversions: all meet Powershift Band 4 standards and are London Congestion Charge exempt. The conversions provide significant fuel cost savings. Prices start at £7,995.

Somers Refrigeration Nemo, Berlingo First, new Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay temperature controlled panel vans: Somers has improved its Ready to Run temperature controlled product with more efficient door and door seal designs. Prices start at £9,895.

Supertrucks Berlingo First, new Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay glass carrying vans: the glass carrier line-up has now been expanded to include the new Berlingo as well as Berlingo First, Dispatch and Relay glass carrying conversions. Entry price is £8,465.

Tipmaster Relay tippers: Tipmaster is the UK’s largest supplier of 3.5 tonne GVW tipper packages. This body has the highest payload of any Tipmaster 3.5 tonne GVW tipper conversion. Priced from £13,695.

Tipmaster tail lifts for Dispatch and Relay panel vans: Tipmaster offers a 300kg capacity tail lift with a compact fold-away design. It weighs just 145kg. Priced at £1,995.

All Citroen’s Ready to Run bodies and conversions are covered by two-year unlimited mileage/three year 100,000 mile warranties, to match the cover provided with standard Citroen vehicles. All prices are ex-VAT.
