Story: COLIN DAWSON
Citroën’s ‘Upgrade to Business Class’ four-year warranty, servicing and Citroën Assistance package, launched earlier this year, has been extended to qualifying customers on all new Citroën vans and light commercials supplied by participating dealers and Business Centres.
This scheme was originally introduced as a limited-period package on any Euro 5 Citroën Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch or Relay ordered and delivered by 31 July 2012.
Now the ‘Upgrade to Business Class’ package will continue to be available to qualifying customers on all new Citroën LCVs from participating Citroën dealers and Business Centres for the foreseeable future.
The no-cost Citroën ‘Upgrade to Business Class’ package comprises: four years/60,000 mile servicing (whichever comes first), allowing customers to have their vehicles serviced annually over this period; four years’ Citroën Assistance (provided by the AA), with Roadside Assistance, At Home Assistance, Recovery, Onward travel and European cover; and warranty extension to four years/120,000 miles (whichever comes first).
Every new Citroën van comes with a three-year warranty package comprising two years’ unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and no-fee customer option of one year’s dealer provided warranty. The dealer-provided warranty is limited to 100,000 miles for vans. Additional fourth-year warranty cover is up to 120,000 miles and is an insurance product underwritten by MICL, a company authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Scott Michael, Citroën’s head of commercial vehicles & business centre programme, told Business Vans: “Citroën takes its responsibilities seriously in the matter of reducing the whole-life costs of its LCV range. The continuation of the innovative ‘Upgrade to Business Class’ package means we can continue to provide our customers with long-term economic benefits.”
