A Volkswagen Caddy like the one donated to Dundee United from Clark Commercials
CLARK Commercials is the new motoring sponsor for the Dundee United, the Scottish Premiership League club for the 2014-15 season.
The Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle business, on Myrekirk Road, has signed a one-year deal with the intention of strengthening its partnership with the club in the future.
As part of the sponsorship deal, the club has received a Caddy van to transport the first team’s official kit to all matches as well as transferring equipment between its training ground and Tannadice Park Stadium.
Speaking of its latest sponsor, Dundee United’s head of sales, Paul Reid, said, “We are delighted to welcome Clark Commercials to the club. The new van provides a dedicated vehicle for our kit man.
“During the season, the team will play well over 40 competitive matches during the season travelling the length and breadth of Scotland so it’s integral we have a reliable set of wheels to get the team’s kit to the matches.
“Volkswagens reliability is renowned which drew us to the brand and Clark Commercials’ service has been swift, profession and accommodating throughout.
“During our pre-season friendlies in Europe Clark Commercials were also happy to loan us a Transporter to help carry the club’s kit and equipment, we couldn’t have asked for a better sponsor.”
Joe McCauley, head of business at Clark Commercials Dundee, added, “This is an exciting new sponsorship for the business. We hope to forge a strong relationship with the club and would like wish them the greatest success for the new season.”
