ONE Lucky Welsh farmer is going to win a spanking new Isuzu pick-up later this year, after the company agreed to supply the main prize for the popular agriculture-themed reality television show, Fferm Ffactor.
The S4C show, which will be broadcast from October, aims to find the best farming talent in Wales. This is the fifth consecutive year that Isuzu will have been the show’s headline sponsor.
Last season’s show pitched 10 contestants against each other to face a series of challenges, each testing their practical skills and farming expertise. The winner was Dilwyn Owen, a 34-year old farmer from Anglesey, and he bagged a fully specified Isuzu D-Max Yukon (click here to read more).
He told Business Vans: “I’ve had a fantastic six months with my Isuzu D-Max. It proved invaluable during the winter months, thanks to its large load-lugging capabilities and its ability to shrug off the worst of the snow.”
The Isuzu D-Max is powered by a 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine and available with either six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with a pioneering five-year/125,000-mile warranty.
The D-Max range includes single-, extended- (with rear-hinged side access panels) and double-cab body variants.
Four specifications are available in double-cab form: D-Max, Eiger, Yukon and Utah. Prices range from £14,499 (CVOTR) for the entry-level Isuzu D-Max 4×2 single-cab increasing to £21,999 (CVOTR) for the top-of-the-range Isuzu D-Max Utah 4×4 double-cab automatic.
