The ECOnetic versions of the Transit Custom return up to 45mpg

NATIONAL Grid engineers maintaining the gas supply network will be working from 200 new Ford Transit Customs from now on.

The Customs join a fleet of some 3500, most of which are Fords. The new models are Ford Transit Custom ECOnetic models, fully racked, and with first aid equipment and special lighting. Power comes from 2.2 litre TDCI 100PS engines.

The Customs will be used for emergency call-outs as well as day to day fitting and repair work.
