IF you run an Isuzu D-Max Eiger, is your pick-up working hard enough for you? Would a tow bar and load liner add to its productivity? And how about a set of all-terrain tyres to help you take your work further afield?
Extras like these can be pricey, but two new packs from Isuzu will save buyers £100s compared with the costs of buying the parts individually.
The ‘Work’ pack offers a payload liner, tow bar, waterproof front seat covers and front and rear rubber mats, all for £499 (ex-VAT). That’s a saving of £346 (ex-VAT) on the recommended prices.
And, from £999 (ex-VAT), the ‘Work Plus’ pack adds BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres to the package – giving a saving worth having at £411 (ex-VAT).
The double-cab Isuzu D-Max Eiger is part of Isuzu’s ‘premium’ pick-up range. Standard kit includes 16-inch alloy wheels, audio system with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning and keyless entry. A range of very contract hire deals is available.
The D-Max pick-up is available in single, extended and double-cab body styles. It’s priced from £14,499 (CVOTR) for the entry-level single-cab 4×2 increasing to £21,999 (CVOTR) for the top-of-the-range Isuzu D-Max Utah Auto.
The Isuzu D-Max is powered by a 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, producing 163hp and 400Nm of torque, and returning fuel economy of 38.2mpg (combined). Six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmissions are available.
All new Isuzu pick-ups carry a, five-year/125,000-mile warranty, a big plus in a business van.
