Cram more in with Ford’s new high-roof Transit Custom model

IF you’ve been tempted to buy a new Transit Custom for your business, but need more space than offered by the standard model, you’ll be pleased to hear the high roof version of the award-winning van is now available to order.

The latest version has load height increased by 370mm over the low-roof model, boosting the distance from floor to roof to 1.78m and providing maximum load volume of up to 8.3 cubic metres (with a full bulkhead fitted). What’s more, this allows a 20% increase in load volume for an addition cost of only £500.

Two wheelbases and a range of weight and powertrain options are available.

The high-roof version of the Transit Custom has a steel roof that can take up to 100kg on a roof rack

And innovative load space features include:

  • A load-through hatch in the bulkhead that allows for loads of up to 3.0m in length (up to 3.4m in long wheelbase model), such as pipes or ladders, to be carried safely inside the vehicle;
  • DIN and ISO compliant tie-down hooks repositioned on the body sides to expand the usable load area and allow complete cleaning of the floor;
  • Tailored, one-piece, easy-to-clean and more durable load floor liner makes cleaning simple;
  • Ultra-bright LED loadspace lighting provided by four high-performance LED units.
