The new Transits are generally economical, and service intervals have been extended to 30,000 miles

The new high roof Transit Custom is powered by a UK-built 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel with optional Auto-Start-Stop.

And Ford says cost of ownership is further minimised by outstanding fuel economy and CO2 emissions from 178g/km – plus the longest service intervals in the class at two years/30,000 miles.

The high-roof version of the Transit Custom is designed for a broad range of customers and is said to be unique in the segment for its all-steel roof, providing greater durability than a composite roof construction, together with roof rack compatibility and a maximum load of 100kg.

The Transit Custom, voted 2013 International Van of the Year, is the only van in its segment with a maximum five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The high-roof model also offers optional technologies including SYNC with Emergency Assistance, Rear View Camera, Acceleration Control, Lane Keeping Alert and Driver Alert.
