The Blade is a special edition, looking to pick up custom among city-dwelling trades-people  and recreational users. Payload and towing capacity are well and truly business-like though

THE new special edition Isuzu D-Max Blade has been designed to turn the heads of business users who might not have considered a pick-up before.

The D-Blade gets an impressive list of style enhancements and technology upgrades to make the pick-up stand out from the crowd. It’s based on a premium model from the D-Max range anyway, then adds more than £5000-worth of additional kit, saving a £1000 on the price of buying the extras separately.

R18 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres, privacy glass, black doors, tailgate handles, roof bars and rear bumper are among the visible extras.

More fundamental is the choice of an Aeroklas hard top complete with internal light or a Mountain Top Black Roller Top Cover unique to the Blade and not available as a separate accessory. Whichever option you pick, the tops are supplied and fitted within the on-the-road price along with an under-rail bed liner.

The Blade  has a towing capacity of 3.5-tonnes and 1-tonne payload.

The five-seater pick-up also has high-value interior upgrades which include automatic climate control and premium black leather seats that are heated in the front.

There’s also a DAB digital radio, controlled via the Pioneer AVIC-F950 6.1-inch touchscreen navigation system found in Yukon and Utah models.
