Isuzu heads for trees

  • Hardworking, versatile Isuzu D-Max pick-ups suited to forestry work showcased
  • APF 15-17 September at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire
  • APF is largest forestry, woodland and arboriculture event in the UK

ISUZU will demonstrate its highly capable and rugged pick-up range as an Isuzu D-Max forestry trio head for APF 2016, the country’s largest forestry, woodland and arboriculture exhibition. Three Isuzu pick-ups will be presented at the biennial extravaganza, which runs from 15-17 September at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire.

The entry-level Isuzu D-Max extended cab is an ideal forester’s vehicle with exceptional 4×4 traction, a powerful 163PS twin-turbo diesel engine, versatile body style that includes rear-hinged doors for access to the rear bench seat, 1,085kg load bed payload and 3,500 kg maximum braked towing weight.

The higher specification Yukon 4×4 extended cab includes a host of additional enhancements, including a leather multi-function steering wheel, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, 17-inch alloy wheels, side steps and chrome grille.

Those needing to work at heights should head straight for the Isuzu D-Max cherry picker, modified by vehicle conversion specialists, Cumberland Platforms. Its articulated telescopic boom access platform has been designed and developed specifically for the utility and arborist industries and is fully VCA small series type-approved.

The Isuzu stand at APF 2016 will be staffed with technical experts from Isuzu and representatives from two of Isuzu’s official dealers from the region, Unity Automotive (Coventry) and Cross Roads Garage of Shipston-on-Stour (Warwickshire).

As well as checking in at the Isuzu stand, show visitors are also set to be amazed by several displays and competitions, including the World 25m Poleclimbing Championships and the European Chainsaw Carving Championships. As well as 270 exhibitors, more than 17,000 visitors are expected over the three days of the show, of which 90% will be trade professionals working in the industry.
