Isuzu showcases style-enhancing and practical D-Max accessory range

Two new tonneau covers are on offer for D-Max

WANT your pick-up to look better and work harder?

A new range of accessories for the Isuzu D-Max pick-up do both, and were launched at the CV Show last week.

The image conscious get a stainless steel roll-bar that fits behind the cab in the pick-bed. The bar can also be used as a tethering point for loose items.

Additionally, new 16-, 17- or 18 inch alloys are on offer – they can take heavy-duty off-road tyres so they’re not just a pretty face.

But of more interest to business users is a host of new practical options to get more out of your pick-up.

There are two new load-bed covers. First is a flexible black vinyl one, with quick-clamp fixings, that will keep load bay contents concealed and protected from the weather.

The second – the Armadillo roller cover – is made from aluminium, and completely secures the bed using a dual-action lock.

Then there’s a roof rack that’ll carry up to 65kg, and a new jaw-and-pin tow-bar for trailers with different attachment points. It’ll take the 4×4 D-Max’s braked towing weight of up to 3 tonnes.

Also offered are heavy-duty two-tone vinyl seat covers to protect seats from dirt, wear and tear.

For reversing into tight corners or over uneven terrain, Isuzu will fit a reversing camera and screen kit. The camera’s concealed in the rear bumper and the LCD touch screen is integrated in the centre console. It activates when reverse is selected.

Any of the new accessories can be specified for utility and premium Isuzu D-Max models.

Yukon and Utah buyers can also add an audio, navigation and communication upgrade called the ‘Vision’ pack. The pack, price at £900 (ex-VAT) consists of a Pioneer satellite navigation head unit, rear-view parking camera and premium audio system.
