CV Show 2013
THE first Iveco Daily to feature Start & Stop technology made its UK debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show today.
Start & Stop improves fuel economy, especially in urban driving.
In addition to the Start & Stop function, the Daily is equipped with a new Gear Shift Indicator (GSI) designed to help drivers better manage driving style.
In conjunction with the latest lightweight six-speed transmission offered with the 2.3-litre diesel engines, these features help reduce fuel consumption – improved by 10% over previous models – and reduce CO2 emissions.
Iveco showed a Daily 35S13 Eco variant on a 3300mm wheelbase with a 12cu m loadspace. This is one of eight load capacities available from 7.3cu m to 17.2cu m.
This model was equipped with a range of options including alloy wheels, suspended driver’s seat, front fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity and under-seat storage.
The Daily is powered by a Euro V 2.3-litre FPT Industrial diesel engine which produces up to 126hp and up to 320Nm of torque.
Other Iveco business van news at the Show includes a 35C13 Eco chassis crew cab, with space for a driver and six-man crew. The 3750 mm wheelbase vehicle was mounted with an Ingimex tipper body from Iveco’s DriveAway Options programme.
It’s also fitted with the 2.3-litre FPT Industrial diesel engine driven through the lightweight gearbox, and Stop & Start technology.
