Eberspacher makes serious climate control kit, as in this Foxhound Armoured Personnel Carrier

This monster could be seen on the Eberspacher stand at the Commercial Vehicle Show and is an MoD Foxhound Armoured Personnel Carrier, for which Eberspacher had provided a bespoke climate control system.

Eberspacher (UK) originally produced diesel-fuelled independent heating systems for cars, commercial vehicles and marine markets, but it’s expanded into vehicle air conditioning and climate control and is a major supplier to car and commercial vehicles manufacturers.

The Foxhound system comprises front heating ventilation and air conditioning unit (HVAC), rear HVAC with EMC filter and Faraday cage, ducting through the vehicle including Maxitherm insulation, aluminium parallel flow condenser and Hydronic MII 10 kW fuel operated coolant heating system.

In addition to the imposing Foxhound, Eberspacher showed its latest climate-control systems, air-conditioning systems, Airtronic and Hydronic diesel-fuelled air and water heating systems, displayed in a variety of vehicles, which included a vans from Mercedes and VW as well as a Fiat Ducato ambulance.
