The hand over for the 88 new Vauxhall vans on their way to Konecranes

KONECRANES makes serious heavy lifting kit like overhead cranes and lifting gear for the nuclear industry.

It’s just taken delivery of 88 new Vauxhall vans, mainly Vauxhall Combo and Vauxhall Vivaro panels vans – both L1H1 versions.

As ever, economy was a big part of the reason for going with Vauxhall. The Vauxhall Combos will be fitted with the 1.3CDTi ecoFLEX engine which delivers up to 58.9mpg while the Vivaros come with the Euro 5 compliant 2.0CDTi 115PS engine.

The vans will be put to a variety of uses, and to that end Vauxhall was charged with fully fitting the vans to make the most of their accommodation.

This was done by the van conversion specialists the Bott Group and commenting on the work, Bott’s Darren Cooper said,  “We have tailor-made a number of storage solutions for Konecranes as part of this order.

“For each vehicle, we were tasked with utilising all of the space the vans have to offer, while also meeting the demands of the team who will be using these vehicles as part of their daily duties.”
