Lex Autolease saves Britvic over £70k – we’ll drink to that!

Lex Autolease saves Britvic with a raft of fleet improvements

ONE of Europe’s biggest soft drinks manufacturers, Britvic, has saved over £70,000 thanks to a review of its commercial vehicles by Lex Autolease.

Lex Autolease worked with Britvic to identify ways to deliver cost savings across its fleet of 527 vehicles and also reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

The review involved the introduction of 75 VW Caddy Maxi vans with BlueMotion engines, replacing older and less fuel efficient fleet commercials. This reduced annual carbon emissions by over 90 tonnes. Additionally, fleet improvements included sat-navs and cruise control as standard.

Lex Autolease also analysed vehicle usage and loads, which helped Britvic to shed a collective 2.4 tonnes of unnecessary stock carried across the fleet, resulting in significant fuel efficiency improvements.

Telematics technologies have also been strengthened to help maintain fuel efficiency and improve and ease the quality of information collecting; a specialist team at Lex Autolease now manage this for Britvic.
