Used prices of tippers are increasing, says Broadway Motor Company

Used tippers: big gardening industry demand

Broadway reports brisk business on used tippers

THE USED business van specialist outlet, Broadway Motor Company, says demand for used light tippers of all kinds is continuing to rise well beyond the normal seasonal boom in spring.

Broadway says that light tipper values usually peak to coincide with demand for the start of the grass cutting and landscape gardening season, but that there has been an unexpected and ongoing rise in values.

National sales leader, Ian Griffiths, commented: ”Values for tippers through from 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes are remaining very solid and we are seeing high prices for almost all vehicles as they come through to the market.

”This is unexpected because by this point in the year, light tipper prices are normally starting to fall away after a boom in demand during March and early April. In the trade, there is a recognised link between light tipper values and the start of grass cutting season.

”We believe that the factors in play are the late spring, meaning that some purchasing decisions were deferred but also we are receiving good feedback from the landscaping and gardening sector. This appears to be an industry that has weathered the recession fairly well and alongside local authorities represents the customer base for this kind of vehicle.”

Broadway Motor Company has branches in Neasden, Manchester, Stoke on Trent, Rotherham, Derby and Billingham. All vans sold come with a complete service history, MoT and service, and a three month/3000 mile warranty.
