TomTom: Latest systems will save your business money and time

Author: Robin Roberts

Getting lost is expensive for van drivers, especially with sky high fuel prices, let alone the cost of lost working time.

But economic driving such as keeping the engine of your van at low revvs and not braking unnecessarily will help reduce those bills.

But in a recent project, TomTom systems look to have found even more ways to cut down on those fuel bills. Its OptiDrive and Active Driver Feedback systems managed to reduce average consumption from 26 to 43mpg among its business van users and company car drivers.

The technology was launched only a year ago at the CV Show, and the NEC event revealed other similar success stories with the system. Since the release, the two systems have helped many businesses to reduce costs for van fleet operators, improve productivity and produce greener, safer drivers.
