Marks Electrical opted for the reliable Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
AFTER 15 years of uninterrupted service and reliability, there was nothing negative about them, says Marks managing director Mark Smithson.
Latest additions to its fleet of 30 vehicles are 15 new Sprinter 313 CDI Long chassis cabs supplied by local Dealer Mertrux, with funding through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.

Fitted with lightweight Ecofont Luton bodies and Dhollandia tail lifts by M6 Motor Bodies, of Birmingham, the new vans are now hard at work delivering Marks Electrical’s range of white goods and household electrical items to homes across the UK.
“Our new Sprinters replaced some older versions which had proved extremely reliable,” said Managing Director Mark Smithson.
“We’ve been running Mercedes-Benz vehicles for 15 years and they’re consistently dependable. Deliveries which arrive when they’re promised are a key element of our service and the Sprinters help us to keep our customers happy.”
He added, “The Mercedes-Benz build quality is always excellent and the service from Mertrux is highly professional. The Mercedes-Benz Service24h roadside assistance back-up is a great comfort too, even though we hardly ever have to use it.”
Marks Electrical was established in 1987 and has sold more than a million appliances to its satisfied customers from a showroom in Leicester with more than 500 items on display as well as a thriving internet shopping business.
Marks Electrical is also a major backer of the local Premier League football team, Leicester City, and sponsors a stand at the club’s King Power Stadium.
“I’m a staunch supporter but our sponsorship of the team is in recognition of its importance to the city, and is our way of giving something back to our local community,” added Mr Smithson.
