Nationwide Autocentres are offering duty of care inspection

Duty of care: audited service

19-point duty of care inspection service launched

Nationwide Autocentres, the chain of independent servicing and MOT test centres, has launched a 19 point  ‘Duty of Care’ inspection service.

Its aim is to provide the necessary checks and evidence small businesses require to comply with health and safety ‘fit for purpose’ legislation.

Companies that fail to implement a duty of care process to ensure vehicles are fit for purpose could be liable for prosecution if the vehicle is involved in a fatal road traffic accident.

Nationwide Autocentres’ new ‘Duty of Care’ 19 point inspection includes checks on brakes, steering, shock absorbers and wheel cylinders which is fully documented to provide comprehensive evidence of all checks carried out.

“Taking a proactive approach to risk management could help companies reduce their accident rate and ultimately their insurance premiums,” said Jason Gill, fleet development manager,  Nationwide Autocentres.
