IF you’re in the market for a budget-priced van, then check out the Chinese-built DFSK Loadhopper. It’s on offer pre-registered from car supermarket Motorpoint for £4999 plus VAT – a saving off list price of £2646.
With a payload of 548kg and a load capacity of more than 3cu m, the Loadhopper is said to provide the lowest price-to-load-area/payload of any comparable light commercial vehicle available in the UK.
Sliding doors on both sides of the van in addition to a glazed rear door make access to the cargo easy. A steel bulkhead separates the load area from the cab.
The Loadhopper is is powered by a Euro 5 Compliant 1-litre engine and comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
