THE Isuzu D-Max Pick Up has been revealed as the official car partner of UK Construction Week, held at the NEC Birmingham from 10th – 12th October.

UK Construction Week is the largest industry event in the UK, bringing together all elements of the construction trade in the UK. Visitors to the 2017 show will get to see how the versatile D-Max is the perfect fit for small businesses and SMEs looking for a Pick Up works for them.

This is the updated Isuzu D-Max and it has been extensively overhauled. Under the bonnet you’ll find a brand new 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine producing around 160bhp and 360Nm of torque. The engine retains the 3.5 tonne towing capacity and 1 tonne payload that makes the D-Max so useful. It also helps provide a quieter, more refined and economical driving experience.

A big benefit of that new engine is that it meets Euro 6 standards without the need for the addition of AdBlue. Not a big deal in itself but it all helps to make life just that little bit simpler.

As per previous D-Max models, the Shift-On-The-Fly 4×4 system remains a key feature of the truck. The rotary dial allows the driver to switch between two or four-wheel drive as well as selecting low range gears. Couple that with the new Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist fitted across the range and you have a very capable vehicle.

Regardless of the specific area of your business the new Isuzu D-Max can be converted for bespoke applications. A regular Pick Up is probably sufficient for most uses but the D-Max can also be converted into a tipper, MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform), or one of many other utility uses. Isuzu will be showcasing some examples on their stand at the show.

The new Isuzu D-Max also comes with a five-year / 125,000-mile warranty, and running costs are kept down by 12,000-mile or 24-month service intervals, five years’ recovery and European cover. There is also a a three-year paint warranty, and a six-year anti-corrosion warranty.

Nothing says confidence more than a manufacturer backing their product so for Isuzu to offer such a comprehensive warranty knowing full well what sort of environment the D-Max could be working in it says a lot about how good they believe the D-Max to be.
