Windscreen insurance for your vans from £25

Fixed cost business van solution from Complectus

FIXING the cost of accidental damage to your company’s business vans is always useful – and with the deteriorating state of our roads, windscreens in particular are most at risk.

In response to this, claims management company Complectus has arranged a special glass insurance covering the cost of windscreens, side windows and rear windows.

The Complectus glass insurance provides cover for both accident and vandalism damage. Although aimed primarily at firms with several business vans, this glass insurance policy can also be bought by sole traders and small van fleets that do not have glass cover included in their motor insurance policy or who have a high excess payable on glass claims.

Providing a fixed cost solution, the glass insurance enables businesses to accurately budget for glass expenditure across their company vans, whether it’s one company van or more than 25, says Complectus.

Cover is for both repair and replacement glass. VAT registered companies only pay the VAT applicable to the replacement glass as an excess. Non VAT registered companies or sole traders pay a £30 excess. Policies for all categories of vehicle – the insurance covers business cars as well as business vans – start at £25 per vehicle per annum.

“With a typical fleet excess of £250, it’s worth serious consideration,” added Complectus managing director Peter Powell.

Replacement glass is provided by National Mobile Windscreens under the policy. Mr Powell said the company provided full UK coverage and 24 hours a day assistance.
