Story: COLIN DAWSON
Northgate Vehicle Hire has appointed Mike Willink as supply chain and business development director. Willink, who has worked at Northgate for the past year on an interim contact, was promoted to the position earlier this month to help drive the company’s commercial sales and marketing approach.
He will also be working with the seven-strong sales and marketing team at Northgate to help develop the company’s integrated offering across fleet investment, vehicle hire and ex-commercial vehicle sales.
His experience includes working with brands such as Rolls Royce and private equity company, Endless.
The appointment comes after a year of growth for Northgate with the company already achieving an 11% increase in annual profits on last year.
Jonathan Pearce, Northgate Vehicle Hire marketing manager, told Business Vans: “Mike has worked with our company on an interim basis for the past year and, having witnessed the impressive effect he has achieved, we are extremely confident that he will deliver equally significant results within his new role. Northgate has completely restructured its offering in the past 18 months. This has allowed us to provide our customers, suppliers and business partners alike, with a more structured and productive way of working.”
Northgate Vehicle Hire serves business van customers with over 52,000 vehicles on rental through more than 62 locations, including 56 workshops with 356 mechanics operating within the direct service network.
