MAKING multiple drops mostly in city and town locations is tough on fuel consumption. Reducing CO2 emissions and improving mileage is a major consideration for any tradesman or small to medium business running vans.
Aftermarket parts supply company FPS supplies 2,500 motor trade-based clients, making up to six deliveries a day between a network of 20 sites across the UK and covering around 50,000 miles each year. The company has recently added 35 Vauxhall Combos to its fleet.
The Combos are long-wheel L2 models fitted with ply lining and equipped with stop/start technology, which will reduce FPS’s CO2 and fuel usage on a daily basis. The Combos are liveried in FPS’s distinctive peppermint green.
FPS fleet manager Stuart Collett told Business Vans: “We are very pleased to add 35 more Vauxhalls to our fleet. We currently have 164 Vauxhall vans including a fleet of Vivaros and 10 cars which we have used for the past four to five years without a single fault.
