THE new Isuzu D-MAX range goes on sale in the UK this spring, so Isuzu has taken this opportunity to reveal  the range line-up and pricing for the new truck.

It might not look it, but the D-MAX has been extensively overhauled, with the biggest change under the bonnet.

Out goes the old diesel unit, to be replaced by a brand new 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine, which produces 164PS and 360Nm of torque. New engine or not, the new D-MAX retains its 3.5 tonne towing capacity and 1 tonne payload while providing a quieter, more refined and economical driving experience. The new engine meets Euro 6 standards without the need for AdBlue.

The Shift-On-The-Fly 4×4 system of the D-MAX remains, but that rotary dial now allows the driver to select four-wheel drive on the move as well as low range gears.

Utility, Eiger, Yukon, Utah and Blade models are retained, with a range of single, extended and double cab versions available.

  •  Utility is the entry-level D-Max, priced from £15,749, it comes equipped with LED daytime running lights, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Bluetooth connectivity, power windows and air- conditioning.
  •  Move up to the Eiger double cab, priced from £20,499 with a reversing camera, 16-inch alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers, audio system with CD player and 6 speakers.
  •  The Yukon which is priced from £20,499, adds 18-inch alloy wheels, silver side steps, a new seven-inch multi-function touchscreen, LED rear lights, Cruise Control, rear load liner and a leather steering wheel.
  •  If you want more comfort, then you need the Utah, which is priced from £24,149 and includes keyless entry with push button start, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, a DAB digital radio, roof bars, leather upholstery with heated front seats, rear parking sensors and automatic air conditioning.
  • Blade remains the range-topper and is priced from £26,999, with tinted windows, a nine-inch multi-function touchscreen, remote locking lower tailgate, Blade puddle lamps, front and rear parking sensors, and a colour-coded Aeroklas canopy or sports bar with roller cover.

Finally, the D-Max comes with a five-year / 125,000-mile warranty, with expected running costs reduced by 12,000-mile or 24-month service intervals, five-years’ recovery and European cover, a three-year paint warranty, and a six-year anti-corrosion warranty.
