Electric Renault Kangoo Van Maxi Z.E. on sale in 2011

Plug in & power up: electric Renault Z.E. this year

Renault Kangoo Van Maxi Z.E. on sale before year’s end

RENAULT will add a long-wheelbase electric Kangoo van to its range by the end of the year. The Kangoo Van Maxi Z.E. will cost £17,990 excluding VAT as a standard two-seat panel van and £18,690 as a five-seat crew van.

The prices do not include the battery pack – this has to be leased separately at a cost of £59 per month (9,000 miles per year/4 years). The new van will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next week, while orders can already be placed at www.renault-ze.com.

The two-seat version will have a maximum load capacity of 4.6cu m plus a full steel bulkhead as standard, while the crew van version seats up to five people with load capacity of 3.4cu m. The Maxi version has a 400mm longer wheelbase, giving an overall length of 4.6m. It will join the standard-wheelbase Kangoo Van Z.E. in the Renault range – this goes on sale in the autumn.
