Renault aims to drive down operating and finance costs with new Master ECO

WITH today’s high fuel cost forming a significant expense for all traders and SMEs running business vans, fuel efficiency is a major consideration when it comes to your choice of transport.

Renault Trucks is targeting cost-conscious operators with its new Renault Master ECO and offering competitive finance into the bargain.

The new Renault Master ECO, a key addition to the company’s LCV range, is said to be optimised for fuel efficiency, using 7% less fuel than its predecessor. According to Renault, the van has been specifically designed to drive down operating costs across all applications.

The Renault Master ECO is available in a range of body styles, including panel van, chassis cab, crew cab, minibus and platform cab versions, with gross vehicle weights of 2.8 to 4.8 tonnes. Front-wheel-drive models benefit from new air suspension, as well as a new radio and sat-nav system.

Payload and loadspace have also been improved, with the Renault Master ECO panel van benefiting from up to 17cu m of and 2,254kg of payload. The chassis-cab version has a payload of up to 2,529kg.

For a limited period, Renault Trucks Financial Services is giving customers the opportunity to take advantage of lower interest rates on all LCVs registered until 31 December. A range of finance offers includes three years at an interest rate of just 0.99% – which could save operators around £45 a month – four years at 1.49% and five years at 1.99%. The finance offer is available from all Renault Trucks authorised distributors throughout the UK.

Renault Trucks commercial director Nigel Butler told Business Vans the package was aimed at cost-conscious operators. He said: “With significantly lower consumption, the new Renault Master ECO provides excellent fuel efficiency. The 100hp and 125hp versions are already available and, with enhanced low rates of finance on LCVs, this is a fantastic offer for business van users.”
