IT’S been highly anticipated this – a pick-up truck to out point all pick-ups. It’s the Mercedes X-Class powered by a V6 diesel.
And it’s yours for £38,350 (ex VAT). Expect to climb on board from November.
The engine powering the top of the range Mercedes V6 X-Class is a 3.0 six-cylinder diesel engine. Power is 258 hp and a maximum torque is a tarmac melting 550 Nm.
So what do you get with your V6 X-Class?
All V6 X-Class pick-ups are doublecab configuration, with 4MATIC permanent all-wheel-drive and Dynamic Select, 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission.

Inside, the X 350d 4MATIC comes with eight-way electrically adjustable driver and front passenger seats, which are heated, as standard, along with a leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles and cruise control, ARTICO leather and DINAMICA microfiber upholstery, and an ARTICO leather dashboard with topstitching, complimented by an aluminium interior trim.
It is also offered with 18-inch six-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in himalaya grey and with heated washer fluid jets as standard.
The introduction of the new V6 engines sees a change to the X-Class line-up; the PURE and PROGRESSIVE models will only be available with the 220d and 250d engines. The POWER model will be exclusively available for the 350d.
