Tyrefix had a year of trouble when it was tempted away from Mercedes so now its replacing its existing vans with a new Sprinter as each van’s 100,000 mile warranty runs out

The company aims to renew its entire 75-strong fleet of mobile workshops with Mercedes Sprinters. The Sprinter, in common with all Mercedes Vans, has a standard with a three-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer’s warranty.

Tyrefix is also taking out a Service Care package on each new van, which will cover all routine maintenance costs for four years.

Tony Etheridge said another advantage was the Mercedes-Benz Service 24h emergency cover, which offers “a very high level of service, with fast call-out times and a high proportion of jobs fixed at the roadside”.

Tyrefix UK provides a mobile tyre repair and replacement service to construction and civil engineering industry customers operating large plant machinery. Each of its vans is equipped as a mobile workshop with Edstrom racking, compressors, tools and a stock of spare parts.
