NOW here’s a first: a telematics vending machine at the CV Show.
Possibly not quite what you’re used to getting from a vending machine, but let’s not go there…
But this is really novel from Trakm8. On the Trakm8 stand will be a vending machine to dispense a 30-day free trial of Trakm8 Prime.
Trakm8 Prime is a self-install vehicle tracking solution that’s designed for trades, small businesses and SME van fleets
The touchscreen vending machine requires visitors to enter a few details before dispensing a Trakm8 Prime device.
The device is registered to your vehicle and available to use free-of-charge for the next 30 days.
Following that, there’s a chance to purchase a subscription of £12.99 per month for a 12-month contract.
Upgrading to Trakm8 Prime Protect adds a dashcam to the package.
Trakm8 Prime, which was launched last November, allows businesses to track vehicles, monitor vehicle health, coach better driving behaviours and simplify mileage-related admin.
There is a simple-to-use web portal and mobile app. Trakm8 says SMEs can use the system to lower vehicle running costs, reduce the risk of breakdowns and improve the safety of employees.
Because it can be installed in minutes with no prior professional know-how required, visitors can begin using their trial device as soon as they leave the CV Show by following the instructions sent to their email address. Customers that register and install their Prime device before leaving the NEC and track their journey home will also be given the chance to enter Trakm8 Prime’s efficient driving competition.
Andrew Tillman, Fleet Strategy Director at Trakm8, said:
“Trakm8 Prime allows users to quickly order telematics entirely online and removes any lengthy sales processes. We wanted to replicate this quick and easy process at The CV Show and our vending machine does exactly that.”
“Our 30-day free trial enables businesses to test the product first-hand and we are confident that users will enjoy the fuel-saving and productivity-boosting benefits that Trakm8 Prime offers over this trial period.”
