Renault’s Kangoo van gets an update in May 2013 with revised front end, dashboard and more fuel efficient diesel engines

AN updated version of the Renault Kangoo II will be arriving in May 2013.

Frustratingly, we can’t show you any pictures yet of the new Renault van – Renault is keeping its new van firmly under wraps.

But the Renault Kangoo II facelift will be built at Renault’s Mauberge factory in France and shares the same body and engines as the Mercedes Citan van (pictured below) but with a different front end treatment.

Also new on the updated Renault Kangoo II will be a revised dashboard with improved ergonomics.

Revised engines, fitted with fuel-saving stop-start technology called Stop&Start, promise better operating costs thanks to 65.7mpg fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 112g/km.

As well as this, there will be the latest Renault anti-skid ESP technology for greater van stability thanks to Grip Control and Hill Start Assist.

Also new on the updated Renault Kangoo II will be Renault’s Bluetooth enabled multimedia system called RLINK, providing hands-free calls, satellite navigation and multimedia connectivity.

Like all Renault vans, the updated Renault Kangoo II will be backed by Renault’s 4+ package offering four year warranty, road side cover, servicing and business van finance package.
