Welsh farmer’s winning ways bag a prize Isuzu D-Max pick-up

Dilwyn Owen’s new pick-up is equipped with a high level of standard features, including leather steering wheel with cruise control, keyless entry and air conditioning

AN Anglesey farmer has won an Isuzu D-Max Yukon pick-up in a competition run by the Welsh language farming reality show, Fferm Ffactor.

Dilwyn Owen won the £22,399 D-Max Yukon which pitched 10 contestants against each other in a series of challenges, putting their practical skills and farming expertise to the test.

An Isuzu D-Max Yukon featured throughout the series, with competitors having to surrender their key to the pick-up as they were eliminated.

Owen’s new pick-up is stacked with goodies, including leather steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning, 17-inch alloys, side steps and plenty of chrome, as well as high-vis projector headlamps and LED rear light clusters.

Owen told Business Vans: “I’m still pinching myself! Things like this don’t happen to me. It was a relief in a way to get it over with because we had been competing for so long.”

The new Isuzu D-Max comes in range of variants for business van buyers, including single, extended and double-cab variants. Prices start at £14,499 (CVOTR) for the entry-level Isuzu D-Max 4×2 single-cab and rise to £21,999 (CVOTR) for the top-of-the-range Isuzu D-Max Utah 4×4 double-cab automatic.

The Isuzu D-Max has a 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine and comes with a six-speed manual or five-speed auto box.
