Volkswagen Transporter owner Andy is going up in the world

Going large: Andy Brodie with his Volkswagen Transporter

FLOORING business owner Andy Brodie is going up in the world and is set for big things. He’s been selected to feature with his Volkswagen Transporter on Britain’s largest billboard site – the 27m x 18m (86ft x 60ft) ‘mega banner’ on the M4.

He ‘s been picked from thousands of Volkswagen customers to be one of only four ‘faces’ of a new ad campaign for the Volkswagen Transporter. The campaign carries the slogan: ‘We never forget the most important name on our vans. Yours’.

Andy, who is 42 and from Watford, will also be seen with his van on 750 other billboard sites throughout the country as well as in radio and magazine adverts.

The advertising campaign is intended to highlight how Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles works in partnership with its customers. The three other small businesses involved – a locksmith, a telecommunications specialist and a heating firm– were all recommended by Volkswagen Van Centres across the UK.

Andy told Business Vans he believes having a smart-looking van is vital for his business’s image, and said: “When I first heard from the ad agency, I took it with a pinch of salt. Then they told me I would be famous for the whole of the summer. It hit home only when I turned up for the photo shoot. It took so long, I realised it was serious.”

More ambitious small firms are sought by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for help with free publicity through its social media channels. Interested businesses owners should visit VW Commercial Vehicles Facebook page to find out more.
